Frequently asked questions
How do my agents connect to Front?
Via a Front API token. The connection is set up once, from the Atako integration settings.
Is my Front API token safe?
Yes. Your API token is encrypted and never exposed to the agent: it acts through a secure access layer, without ever seeing or handling your credentials.
Can I limit what each agent is allowed to do?
Yes, read and write permissions are configured per agent: some can only view Front, others can reply to conversations or update contacts.
What can an agent actually do in Front?
List inboxes, view and update conversations (status, assignment, tags), read and reply to messages, add internal notes, and manage contacts, depending on the permissions you grant.
Can I revoke access at any time?
Yes, in one click from the integration settings. The agent immediately loses all access to Front, no action needed on the Front side.
What Front data is covered?
Inboxes, conversations (status, assignment, tags), messages, internal comments, contacts, teammates and tags. Rules, attachments, channels and webhooks are not exposed to agents; no deletion is possible.
