How do my agents connect to SendGrid?
Via a restricted-access SendGrid API key, created in your SendGrid account (Settings → API Keys). The connection is set up once, from the Atako integration settings. You can choose an "api.eu" key if your account is EU-resident.
Is my SendGrid API key safe?
Yes. Your API key is encrypted and never exposed to the agent: it acts through a secure access layer, without ever seeing or handling your credentials.
Can I limit what each agent is allowed to do?
Yes. The SendGrid API key defines access scopes (Mail Send, Marketing Contacts, Statistics) that you choose when creating it. Read and write permissions are also configured per agent in Atako.
What can an agent actually do in SendGrid?
Send transactional emails with dynamic templates, add and search marketing contacts, create and manage lists, review dynamic templates, track send statistics and list suppressions, depending on the permissions you grant.
Can I revoke access at any time?
Yes, in one click from the integration settings. The agent immediately loses all access to SendGrid, no action needed on the SendGrid side.
What SendGrid data is covered?
Transactional emails (without attachments), marketing contacts and lists, dynamic templates, send statistics and suppressions (bounces, unsubscribes). Contact deletion is not exposed to agents. SendGrid webhooks, API keys and account settings are not exposed to agents.
