Via a Perplexity API key (starts with pplx-). The key is created in the Perplexity API console. The API works with prepaid credits at Perplexity. The connection is set up once, from the Atako integration settings.

Yes. Your API key is encrypted and never exposed to the agent: it acts through a secure access layer, without ever seeing or handling your credentials.
